Stoney Lane Organic Farm has been farmed by the Daniels family for four generations. The land has been used for dairy, hay, corn, soybean, and various grain production. All 60 acres are currently preserved by the American Heritage Conservancy. The farm lies in the beautiful rolling hills of Bucks County farmland four miles from the Delaware River. The geological make-up within the Brunswick Formation, in which the farm is located, gives the land large amounts of shale and limestone. The soil also contains heavy clay, a common soil type for Bucks County farms.

Conventionally farmed for the past two generations, Jared Daniels, the owner of Stoney Lane Organic Farm, made the decision to switch over to sustainable practices. For the past five seasons 25 acres have been set aside growing organic vegetables and grains the way nature intended – without the use of chemical pesticides and fertilizers. Organic matter has increased along with soil structure which provides an ideal habitat for beneficial microorganisms to thrive. Although this was not an easy task, the benefits outweigh the risks. The mission here is to provide certified organic produce that doesn’t cost a fortune. Everybody should have the same accessibility to a wholesome lifestyle.
