Hello Friends,
I don't know about you, but the last three weeks have been so intensely busy, albeit in good ways. Summer has come to its crescendo, and with it has come a mountain of tomatoes, watermelons and pumpkins. We couldn't be more grateful.
Next week we will be bringing 1500 pounds of said tomatoes and some pumpkins to another processor in PA this time to turn our bounty into jars of healthy deliciousness.
In the meantime, we are busy working on the label designs and are thrilled to announce that we finally have our first three products up on the website.
The first two are sauerkrauts that we are so proud to offer. Lacto-fermented foods are all the rage right now, and for good reason. They are nutritional powerhouses, with live culture probiotics and bioavailable Vitamin C to strengthen your gut microbiome and immune system.
Please note that they must be refrigerated, as they are not shelf stable. Heating the product kills the probiotics, hence the need to keep them refrigerated.

Our Garlic Dill Pickle chips contain our own garlic, dill and our regeneratively grown cucumbers, fresh from the field to the jar.

We are also happy to announce that we will be donating produce to support the Schiff Nature Preserve's Farm to Table Dinner Fundraising event. The menu looks amazing, so we hope that you join us there on Friday, September 25th for a wonderful Autumn evening.
There's more information about the event on their website:
https://schiffnaturepreserve.
We are only one week away from Our Autumn Equinox Forest Farm Walk and Sound Bath. If Life has been busy lately, then please consider joining us to pause for a few hours and recognize the arrival of Fall. We will immerse ourselves in a quiet walk in the forest, discuss seasonal eating and what the Autumn represents, have delicious snacks from the Prep Barn and then settle in for a relaxing and soothing sound bath to head into the weekend.
I'd like to leave you with a prayer as we recognize the milestone of the unfathomable tragedy that occurred 25 years ago today.
Dear Lord,
On this day, we remember everyone who lost their life on September 11th, and everyone whose lives were changed forever. Be with their families and loved ones, and please give them comfort and peace.
Help us to remember the kindness, courage, and unity that came from such a difficult day. May we honor those we lost by holding our loved ones a little closer and choosing kindness every day.
Amen.
May God bless you and your Family today and Always,
Michele & the Maranatha Farm Team
