Hello Friends,
Are you ready for Thanksgiving? Here on the farm, this time of year means deep cleaning our coops and winterizing them so that our flock stays dry and as warm as they can be in the months ahead. We are looking back on this year in awe and gratitude for all of the new things we learned; lambing, chicken breeding, our CSA, a passion for teaching workshops, and so many other things.
Here's a peek at our cleaned up chicken run. Our new flock is getting big, and will be ready to start laying eggs as soon as the sunlight returns. Our older flock is still residing in the sheep barn until our new chicken coop is installed next month. We have learned patience in so many ways this year. Step by step, we know that God has a plan, and it is better than anything we could ever imagine.
We were fortunate enough to end the season with a good amount of beautiful storage vegetables like Carrots and Butternut Squash, so get them in our online store while they last. I'll be using mine for some turkey soup on Friday.
We have openings left for our two Festive Wreath Workshops, and our Winter Solstice Sound Bath and Qi Gong experience.
Qi Gong is an ancient Chinese practice that combines gentle exercises, controlled breathing, and focused meditation to cultivate and balance vital energy (qi). It involves slow, deliberate movements, deep breathing, and mental focus to improve physical and mental well-being, with goals including enhanced balance, flexibility, strength, and overall vitality. We will be practicing specific movements to help increase our vitality as we head into the Winter season.

Earlier this year, one of our amazing customers mentioned that we should combine our edible flower sprinkles in a chocolate bar. We partnered with a local chocolatier to create an organic, fair trade French chocolate bar that we have named Fleur Noir. It will be launching in the store next week, so please keep an eye on our social media channels as we will announce when it goes live. It tastes as beautiful as it looks!
Virgil and the lambs have gotten so big since they were born in April. Seeing them grow reminds us just how fast time passes. It is our hope and prayer that you are able to take the time to slow down over this Holiday weekend to enjoy your family and friends.
